This Sunday May 15th, 2016 the Nascar Sprint Cup Series returns to Dover, Delaware. The chase for the cup is at round sixteen leading with Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Jimmie Johnson. Round twelve will continue in Charlotte, Kansas, and Talladega. The past few races have already been full of excitement with shocking cautions, and finishes. May 12th through the 15th will have plenty of weekend activities. This race will surely be one to watch.
Micheal Strahan was selected as Kelley Ripa’s co-host in September of 2012, and it looks like he will be moving on soon. Strahan will be heading to Good Mourning America leaving Live! in May. Kelly Ripa congratulated him, and her future right now is uncertain. Strahan has had an NFL career, FOX football analyst, and co-host gig. The fans of Live! will surely miss the duo when it’s over.
Get ready for a new adventure coming soon. Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean will continue in their fifth installment titled “Dead Men Tell No Tales“. This story will continue with Johnny Depp‘s character Captain Jack Sparrow as he faces a nemesis named Captain Salazar played by Javier Bardem. Salazar is determined to kill every pirate on the seas. Which is why we will see characters from “On Stranger Tides“, and the return of Will Turner played by Orlando Bloom. The film is to be released in the next year 2017.
Now in production Episode VIII will continue after The Force Awakens under a new director and writer Rian Johnson. Johnson’s previous work was in the film Looper and television hit show Breaking Bad. He is also to be writing for the next Episode IV. Although everything is being kept quiet fans have already viewed some glimpses into the filming. Episode VIII is scheduled as of right now to be released December 15, 2017.
F.G.L. released their latest hit single “H.O.L.Y.” on April 29th, 2016 and is claiming number one in Country Music. The new album “Dig Your Roots” is currently in the works and will be produced by a former producer responsible for their albums “Here’s to the Good Times” and “Anything Goes“. Unlike their other “party songs” this one is slowed down and even a love song. The songs and everything else are being kept quiet by the artists until their tour. On April 21st, 2016 the artist Prince Rogers Nelson a.k.a. “Prince” passed away at the age of Fifty-Seven. Prince was an achieved pop star, performer, and had influenced many of today’s stars. With no sign of suicide or foul play done his body was found unconscious by a doctor’s son. Emergency Responders were unable to revive him. After the announcement of his death radio and television stations played tributes in respect to Prince. Prince will surely be remembered for his accomplishments.
Captain America hits the big screen for the third time bringing a mix of old and new characters, along with including one that was unexpected. In a newer release of the trailer fans got to see a new suited Spider-Man. Tom Hollond was confirmed to play the role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and appears to be on “Iron Man’s side”. The story line goes that many people are starting to fear the actions of super heroes which decides the government to limit their actions. This results in a division between The Avengers, specifically Iron Man and Captain America. Fans have already been built up in the previous films to see a fight between the two. Captain America Civil War is now playing in theaters.
After wining game five Saturday the Washington Capitols put another win in the second series giving them another chance to fight. The Pittsburgh Penguins so far lead 3-2. Something to look forward to for fans is the return of defensive player Brooks Orpik after his game suspension due to a late hit in game two where he demolished a former teammate. Game Six against the Penguins is today at 8:00 pm. Unleash the Fury!
